Testimonials for Dr. Maloy
--------------------------------------------------------------------
For the last five years I have struggled with various injuries, mostly IT Band related. In my search for help, I've heard over and over again to "just stop running". Of course this was not an option for me and when I received a flyer in a race packet from Spring Valley Spine and SportsCare and read about Dr. Maloy and ART, I decided to give it a try. When Dr. Maloy asked me about my race schedule I knew that I was in the right place. Dr. Maloy has kept me racing for over two years now. I just finished my first full Ironman triathlon and Dr. Maloy helped get me to the finish line.

I have known Dr. Lezlie Maloy a little more than 4 years. Initially it was a purely business arrangement, where she provided Chiropractic and ART support to Team Ironhead and we provided a platform to promote and showcase her medical skills. However, over time, I have come to rely on Dr. Maloy both as an athlete and friend. She has treated me for pirifomis issues and completely rehabilitated me so I could resume full training. Professionally she has added value to our events by providing top notch Chiropractic and ART support at our events. The feedback on her performance has been all positive and is one more reason our events are so highly attended. Finally, we’re good friends, she’s always prompt and professional at all our events and helps us above and beyond. I recommend Dr. Maloy to all those seeking medical assistance and value her judgment and medical expertise.

I can’t say enough how much I love the ART that I receive from Dr. Maloy!
For over 5 years I had been losing sleep due to waking up with numb hands. This progressed until I couldn't write my signature without pain. My primary physician misdiagnosed it as carpel tunnel. Still in pain, I went to 3 chiropractors which provided no help. Afraid of surgery, I resigned myself to live with the numbness, the tingling sensations and the inability to feel the tips of my ring and pinky fingers in both arms. I learned to lean over the bed in the middle of the night and let my hands drop in order to hopefully improve the circulation enough so that I could fall back to sleep.
Last year I started the journey again. First I went to a hand surgeon who properly diagnosed me with bilateral ulnar nerve entrapment. Even though the MRI, X-rays and other such conventional tests were negative and nothing was found operable on my neck, he would be willing to perform surgery. Afraid of this questionable surgery, that may not even fix my problem, I pursued another course of treatment.
Enter Dr. Maloy! After the first A.R.T. treatment (which was all done on my upper back and shoulder, NOT my elbow) the pain in my forearm actually disappeared and the tingling in my ring and pinky fingers improved with-in ten minutes! It was quite shocking to be without pain and numbness for the first time in over 5 years. In time I may be able to stop therapy with Dr. Maloy. For now, I'm continuing treatment in order to correct the feeling in my fingers, so far I have only seen improvement with each session! I can go weeks at a time and no longer have numb hands! It is amazing to me that I can again feel my hands, fingertips, and write letters again.
I highly recommend Dr. Maloy for this awesome technique. Few doctors know this soft tissue technique. It's way more than massage. My doc works hard on my back and arms every time. I'm impressed!
Thanks Dr. Maloy, you are a miracle worker.

Training for long distance triathlons, when you are in your mid 40's, places a tremendous amount of stress on the body. Dr. Maloy has allowed me to keep on track and avoid the typical injuries that can cause weeks of downtime and setbacks. I personally believe that it is because she is not only brilliant at what she does, but because she also understands what is going on with the body and the mind of an athlete. Her care involves not only treating the symptom, but figuring out the cause of the problem, before the symptom becomes a problem or injury. I can confidently say, without question, that without her help, I could not continue to compete in Ironman distance events. Thank you Dr. Maloy.

I started seeing Dr. Maloy after completing the Rock n Roll Half Marathon. I was having pain around my left knee and my right hip. It had gotten so bad I could barely run. I had less than six weeks until my first Half Ironman. Dr. Maloy used her ART and Chiropractic knowledge to help me finish my 70.3. I also won first place in my age group in my next sprint triathlon. I highly recommend her to anyone.
She knows how to get you back into racing form!

I was referred to Dr. Lezlie Maloy after I tore my soleus while training for the Cowtown Marathon. It was a very important race as I was attempting to qualify for Boston. With her treatment and expertise she had me back running 50+ miles a week in only three weeks. This left me 6 weeks to get ready to qualify. With a healthy calf I was able to meet my qualifying time, and since have had no reoccurring injuries in my calf. Since working with Dr. Maloy I have gained full confidence in her ability to diagnose and treat a sports injury for proper recovery. She has also taught me the importance of maintaining elasticity of the muscle using ART during my training.
I recommend her to all of my athletes.

After training and completing the WR marathon in 2008, I began having pain in my lower back that radiated down my left leg to my foot causing numbness. I ignored this and suffered thru the 2009 TRI season. I met Dr. Maloy at one of my last of my last races of the year, Tri Rock. She was so friendly and knowledgeable I set up an appointment immediately! Before treatment, to rule out any fractures from mountain biking I had an xray and MRI. I sincerely appreciate the fact that Dr. Maloy is so careful and thorough!! Turns out a bugled disc was causing the pain. Dr. Maloy began treating me with A.R.T, traction, and regular adjustments. I feel so much better!! I really don't know if I could have continued competing if it wasn't for her! Under her care, I was able to complete my first 70.3 in 2010 pain free! I have to give Dr. Maloy credit for my racing successes because she keeps me in top form! Here's to many more years of racing!

I wanted to say thank you for all of your help. When I came to you I could hardly walk. I was having severe pain in my hips, and I was very worried that I was having some type of hip joint problem. I am only forty-five, and was scared I was going to require some kind of hip sugery.
I had gone to my family doctor and after examinging me, he told me it was not my hip joints. However, he did not know what was causing me to have so much pain. He recommended I see a sports medicine doctor. I found your name on Facebook of all places, and made my first appointment.
It was a huge relief after my first visit. I saw immediate results with the therapy, and the exercises you showed me. It has been about four months now, and I have absolutely no pain when I walk. I now walk one and a half miles again every morning. I continue to do the stretches and exercises you showed me, and see continued strenthening of my core torso area. My hips and legs are now stronger than they have been in twenty years.
I would be happy to recommend you to anyone who asks.
