Spring Valley Spine and SportsCare is one of the few SportsCare facilities in the region to have this machine, the  most state of the art rehabilitation / training treadmill in the world.  Dr. Maloy and SVSS have been featured on both NBC and CBS nationwide. 

Originally conceived by Dr. Robert Whalen to design effective exercise regimens for NASA’s astronauts, Differential Air Pressure (DAP) technology has been adapted by AlterG for use in training and rehabilitation. Cleared by the FDA in 2008, the AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill is a medical device that can be used for:

• Rehabilitation of lower extremity injuries
• Treatment of neurological conditions
• Weight reduction
• Aerobic conditioning
• General training to combat the diseases of aging

Unweighting is achieved in the AlterG by using air in a pressure-controlled chamber to gently lift the user. Precise calibration using the patented technology allows for very specific unweighting from 100-20% of the users body weight in 1% increments. Something no other unweighting modality can do.

Rehabilitation pricing:
Rehabilitation can be prescribed and monitored by a doctor in our facility.
This is typically covered by most insurance plans, call us and let our receptionist help you determine this today.

Training pricing:
Utilizing the equipment for training does not involve being monitored by a doctor, nor are training programs created by a doctor of the facility.  Using the machine for training does not create a doctor / patient relationship.

Prices shown are effective January 1, 2011 and are subject to change:

• Initial consultation - $30

• Individual 30 minute session - $20
• 10 session 30 minute package - $175 ($17.50/session)
• 20 session 30 minute package - $325 ($16.25/session)
• 40 session 30 minute package - $600 ($15/session)

• Individual 1 hour session - $35
• 10 session 1 hour package - $300 ($30/session)
• 20 session 1 hour package - $500 ($25/session)
• 40 session 1 hour package - $760 ($19/session)

Sessions start and end according to the scheduled time when appointments are made.  Please arrive early as it does take a few minutes to get into and out of the machine, please plan accordingly.

Multiple sessions may be scheduled to run back-to-back as scheduling permits.

The AlterG Anti-gravity Treadmill is available during all working hours at Spring Valley Spine and SportsCare. 

APPOINTMENT CANCELLATION POLICY: As many athletes utilize this machine it is imperative that we keep very accurate start and stop schedules.  This is for the benefit of the athletes as it keeps the cost of using the machine down and allows for more usage of the machine.  In the event of a change of schedule or cancellation, 24 hours notice is required.  If 24 hours notice is not given, Spring Valley Spine and SportsCare reserves the right to charge, bill or invoice for the scheduled appointment.
